Cornell Cares Day – Volunteering at Jericho Road Community Health Center

For Cornell Cares Day 2019, the Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo will be helping to paint and clean the new Jericho Road Community Health Center at 1021 Broadway in Buffalo. Here’s an article about the facility.

Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Also, the United Way, who arranged our participation with Jericho Road, requests that each participant sign this electronic waiver before the date of the event.

Location: 1021 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14212. There is a large parking lot on site.

The Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo will provide lunch at the famous Broadway Market when we finish working at 12:30.

Registration is required in advance! For event questions, please contact Jack McGowan at jpjpg@verizon.net.

Calling all Volunteers!

The Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo is proud to collaborate with Cornell in Buffalo affiliate the Partnership for the Public Good as they facilitate educational workshops throughout the community. The PPG is offering monthly budgeting and personal finance workshops for individual instruction and coaching. Participants receive one on one feedback and are able to work on personal financial goals – debt reduction, savings and retirement planning, or creating a monthly budget.
Partnership for the Public Good
The PPG has asked for Cornell Alumni volunteers to assist as coaches – so that each participant can receive the personal attention of their own tutor. Volunteers will be given curriculum and coaching guides, to facilitate consistency among coaches. Volunteers may sign up monthly or sporadically for these 2 hour workshops.
