Calling all Volunteers!

The Cornell Club of Greater Buffalo is proud to collaborate with Cornell in Buffalo affiliate the Partnership for the Public Good as they facilitate educational workshops throughout the community. The PPG is offering monthly budgeting and personal finance workshops for individual instruction and coaching. Participants receive one on one feedback and are able to work on personal financial goals – debt reduction, savings and retirement planning, or creating a monthly budget.
Partnership for the Public Good
The PPG has asked for Cornell Alumni volunteers to assist as coaches – so that each participant can receive the personal attention of their own tutor. Volunteers will be given curriculum and coaching guides, to facilitate consistency among coaches. Volunteers may sign up monthly or sporadically for these 2 hour workshops.

Email Catherine March at catherineamarch@gmail.com for questions or to sign up to assist with this opportunity.

Autumn Book Club Selections – Oct 17 & Nov 14

The October 17 (third Tuesday) Book Club meeting will be hosted by Rick Greenberg. Rick has selected a mystery, A Trick of the Light, by a Canadian author, Louise Penny. “Artist Clara Morrow is about to have a a trick of the light prestigious show of her paintings when her childhood friend is found murdered, and the finger of suspicion points to Clara. Chief Inspector Gamache is called to investigate, and using his trademark powers of deduction and his intuitive knack for the right question at the right time, he exposes the darkness that underlies the bright stars of Montreal’s art world, where competition between friends, and even between husband and wife, can turn lethal. .” ―Lisa Scottoline
